We have a self service machine!

Many of you will know that the library has recently been closed to undergo asbestos removal, the first step in vital repairs which will see improvements to the library building – resulting in a new boiler!

A more visible change, is the new self service machine, which we fundraised for last year.

Friends of Stirchley Library (library users), worked directly with our fantastic library staff and Liz Parkes, Birmingham City Council, in order to make this happen.

This week it’s all happening at Stirchley Library!

Tuesday we will have StoryTot’s where the theme will be horses. Join us from 9:45 – 10:15.

Thursday is a busy one, we have 3 activities happening across the day. Jigsaw Club from 10:30 – 12:30, a new stories and craft session for 2 – 5 year olds from 10:30 – 11:30 and a Family History taster session from 2:00 – 3:00!

Finally on Saturday we have our ever popular Scratch coding club from 2:30 – 3:30.

Good news!

From the 12th March, for 2 weeks, Stirchley Library will be closed to allow for the removal of asbestos from the building. This is the first step towards a replacement boiler being installed. We will reopen on Saturday 24th March for a week, then be closed the 31st March for Easter. We will be back to our regular hours from the 3rd April.

On the 2 Tuesdays (13th and 20th) we will be running our regular StoryTots session from Touchbase Pears at its regular time, 9:45 – 10:15. Touchbase Pears is located on the Bristol
