We’re delighted to announce that we have funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to continue our Volunteer Network and expand our community events programme until March 2020.

Friends of Stirchley Library was established in 2017 as a campaign group to save the library from closure. We’ve grown to become a Friends group that works closely with the library staff and City Council to ensure we add value to the library for everyone in the community.

As a small group of local people passionate about how important libraries are, this Awards For All grant means a lot to us. It will enable us to recruit and train new volunteers and further expand the library’s opening hours.

We’ll be launching an online consultation soon, which will help us find out more about the kind of events the Stirchley community would like to see.
