We’re delighted to announce that we have funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to continue our Volunteer Network and expand our community events programme until March 2020.

Friends of Stirchley Library was established in 2017 as a campaign group to save the library from closure. We’ve grown to become a Friends group that works closely with the library staff and City Council to ensure we add value to the library for everyone in the community.

Love your library day!

Stirchley Library is a vital part of our community and we want to celebrate it! Join us on Saturday 18th May from 1pm-4pm for craft activities, a LEGO area, family quiz and free refreshments. You can also find out more about FOSL’s work and how you can get involved in making the most of YOUR library – from signing up for a library card to making a book reservation.

There will be a family storytelling session at 2pm.

Place of Welcome

Stirchley Library is becoming a Place of Welcome! Join us on Thursday 2nd of May 10:30 - 12:30 at the library, for the launch of a weekly coffee morning where everyone is welcome. Free refreshments provided.

Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute.
